Selected building service workers and supervisors received certification by a Cleaning Management Institute custodial technician “train the trainer” program to help Facilities Management develop its own training program.

The new program will include training on customer service, equipment, standardized procedures for cleaning in different types of campus work areas, the chemistry of cleaning and recycling.

“We see this initiative as a resource to improve the employee’s morale and motivation by providing them with the training that will lead them to a continuous development of their skills and opportunities of advancement while continue to improve our students’, tenants’ and visitors’ satisfaction for services that are well performed and delivered,” said Gabriel Bernal, assistant director of Facilities Management.
