UIC Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame honors 10

silhouettes of men and women in business attireThe University of Illinois at Chicago’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies will induct 10 new members into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame at its 29th annual dinner and ceremony Nov. 6 at the Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St.

Inductees are recognized for their entrepreneurial achievements and making a lasting impact on Chicago’s business landscape (editors: see list below)

“These men and women exemplify courageous, doggedly tenacious, dedicated entrepreneurial leadership and fortitude. They have followed Peter Drucker’s adage, ‘The best way to predict the future is to create it,”’ said Nancy Harvey, executive director of the UIC Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies. “It is our privilege to host the 2014 Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and to celebrate not just their accomplishments, but their inspiring individual stories and unique personalities.”

The 2014 inductees are:

CHICAGO: Lou Ennuso, of Adeptia, Inc.; Kris Hammond, of Narrative Science; Chris Krause, of NCSA Athletic Recruiting
ELK GROVE VILLAGE: Laurette Rondenet-Smith, of Edlong Dairy Technologies
EVANSTON: Joe Moskal, of Naurex Inc.
ITASCA: Michael Luecht, of ML Realty Partners
LINCOLNSHIRE: Jeffery Mowery, and Keith Schoenfeld, both of Mowery & Schoenfeld, LLC
SCHAUMBURG: Jeff Yordon, of Sagent Pharmaceuticals Inc.
WOODRIDGE: K’Lynne Johnson, of Elevance Renewable Sciences

Inductees were nominated by other Chicago entrepreneurs, local companies and universities and nonprofit organizations like IBIO/Propel, that foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

Lauded as the oldest and most prestigious Chicago Area entrepreneurship award, the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame celebrates distinguished entrepreneurs whose contributions have had an enduring commercial and social impact, fostered a thriving, diversified economic engine, enhanced their communities, and brought transformative innovations to life. Since its inception in 1985, the Hall of Fame has inducted nearly 500 outstanding entrepreneurs, providing inspiring role models for aspiring entrepreneurs and highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit.
