It’s another award-winning year for UIC News, which received top honors for its work from the Midwest district of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

In the 2012 Pride of CASE V awards program, UIC News received the Gold Award as best tabloid/newsletter for internal audience — adding to gold and bronze awards won in previous years.

The “Profiles” series by assistant editor Gary Wisby won its second Silver Award for feature writing.

A UIC News video, “Match Day: UIC College of Medicine,” received the Gold Award for Best Video Feature. The video was reported by associate editor Christy Levy, edited by visual designer Anna Dworzecka and filmed by Joshua Clark of UIC Photo Services.

UIC News has won seven CASE awards since 2009.
