Holiday Shopping: The combination of lower gasoline prices and lower credit card debt may mean that consumers have the capacity to spend freely in shopping malls and online this holiday season, according to UIC retail expert Annie Logue. “And that may mean a happy assortment of holidays for retailers, even with an early Hanukkah and a late Thanksgiving,” Logue says.
