Toxic Chemicals: Reducing exposure to environmental hazards during pregnancy is critical to prevent adverse health outcomes in infancy, childhood, and beyond. Dr. Susan Buchanan at UIC’s Great Lakes Center for Children’s Environmental Health, is available to discuss how environmental toxins are harmful to reproductive health and how they disproportionately affect underserved populations.
