Police search for suspects in robbery

A UIC student was the victim of a robbery at 10 p.m. Oct. 15 on the 1500 block of West Polk Street.

Two suspects approached the student and demanded the student’s phone, wallet and book bag. One suspect displayed a handgun. The student complied and the suspects fled west on foot. The suspects were described as black men, one wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Arrests by UIC Police

Oct. 18: A man was arrested for criminal trespass at 2:26 a.m. at Science and Engineering Laboratory East.

Five men were arrested for burglaries at 8 a.m. at 410 S. Morgan St. related to incidents that occurred Sept. 25 to Oct. 13.

Oct. 19: A man was arrested on a warrant at 3:55 a.m. at 330 S. Halsted St.
