The annual Report of Non-University Activities (RNUA) process begins on Monday, Sept. 20. UIC academic staff are required to make a full disclosure of all non-University activities, affiliations and appointments that will occur over the academic year Aug. 16, 2021 to Aug. 15, 2022, and retrospective reporting for activities that occurred from Aug. 16, 2020 to Aug. 15, 2021. Please submit your RNUA disclosure by going to START myDisclosures. You must submit your RNUA disclosure by Monday, Oct. 11, and update your RNUA disclosure throughout the year prior to engaging in any new activities.
|
RNUA online training sessions and office hours are being offered to academic staff that must complete disclosures and to assist staff, unit executive officers and business managers/facilitators that administer the RNUA review. Please take the time to review the RNUA guidance and/or attend a training session to assure that you are disclosing all necessary information.

Academic staff that serve as investigators on projects sponsored by the Public Health Services (PHS), Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health and sponsors that have adopted the PHS regulations are reminded that they are required to submit annual disclosures regarding significant financial interests and sponsored or reimbursed travel. Please review your Sponsor Specific Questionnaire in START myDisclosures. Sponsor Specific Questionnaire disclosures expire 12 months after date of submission. If your Sponsor Specific disclosure will expire soon or has expired, you will need to submit a new Sponsor Specific Questionnaire to be compliant with federal regulations and university policies.

If you have any questions, please contact the UIC Conflict of Interest Office at COI@uic.edu or Jacquelyn Jancius, COI director, at jancius@uic.edu or (312) 996-4070. Thank you very much for participating in the disclosure process and ensuring that UIC complies with Illinois state law, federal regulations and our university statutes and policies.
