Right to play

May Day at the Hull-House Museum will feature live music, games and the opening of a new exhibit.

The May 1 event schedule includes food trucks and music, 4 p.m.; field games and races, 4:30 p.m.; Jesse White Tumbling Team demonstration, 6 p.m.; and Queen Nzinga’s Brigade, 6:30 p.m.

Protect passwords

UIC students and faculty members should change some of their passwords after certain UIC servers were impacted by the Heartbleed software vulnerability.

ACCC Security found that a small number of network servers were running a vulnerable version of the software that could allow an attacker to contact a web server and look into its memory without being detected. The vulnerability could compromise a client’s username and password.

Passwords should be changed for Google Apps accounts, YouTube if the log-in information matches your netid and password, and Box accounts if the password used is the same as the UIC common password.
