Back-to-School Health Fair: Aug. 17

WHAT:

Children’s Hospital University of Illinois will host a back-to-school health fair offering school physicals, vision screenings, dental screenings, and health counseling about nutrition, diabetes risk, asthma, and sickle cell disease.

Parents are asked to bring their child’s immunization record to the health fair.

Kids who participate in the fair will receive free school supplies (while they last). Families will also receive health education materials and access to community resources.

Pediatricians will be available to provide back-to-school health and safety tips.

DETAILS:

Children’s Hospital University of Illinois is a 101-bed pediatric hospital located within the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System to provide general and pediatric subspecialty care to children throughout the state.

The hospital includes 10 centers of excellence and is comprised of 24 pediatric medical-surgical beds, 12 pediatric intensive care beds, 10 pediatric step-down beds, and a 55-bed neonatal intensive care unit.
