College of Dentistry dean Clark Stanford was named a Fellow of the Institute of Medicine of Chicago.

The IOMC Fellows are professionals in medical and allied fields whose contributions to healthcare are meritorious, who demonstrate leadership in improving the health of the community, and who manifest the highest ethics, standards and principles of professionalism.

Drawing on the expertise of its members and health leaders in the region, the IOMC addresses critical health issues through a range of interdisciplinary approaches, including education, research, communication and community engagement. The organization, established in 1915, also works to address health disparities in Chicago and enhance the leadership skills of community health workers.
