Why it matters: The endocannabinoid system helps regulate metabolism, stress, pain, inflammation, appetite and other core functions. Yet many people remain unfamiliar with it, and it is often missing from health education.

- Connections between the endocannabinoid system and nutrition, chronic disease, stress, exercise and cannabis science
- A discussion of established evidence, emerging research and common misconceptions
- A look at what stronger endocannabinoid system education could mean for patients, health professionals and the public
- A moderated audience Q&A
Intended audience:
- Patients and caregivers
- Health professionals
- Educators
- Community organizations
- Policymakers
- Students and researchers interested in cannabis, health and public education
Philpott is an educator, writer, researcher, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and co-founder and CEO of Anzisha Consulting. A University of Illinois Chicago alumnus, he studies how endocannabinoid-system and cannabis science connect with athletics, performance, recovery and high-stress populations.
