Join the Cannabis Research Institute, part of the University of Illinois Discovery Partners Institute, for the inaugural event in their CRI Spotlight Series, a new platform highlighting cutting-edge, real-world cannabis research that bridges science, innovation and public impact.
The featured guest is Israel Gasperin, engineering scientist and founder of Zentrela, a technology that measures the psychoactive effects of cannabis. With over 20,000 EEG scans from IRB-approved human trials, Zentrela’s tools enable non-specialist researchers to assess cannabis effects through portable, scalable methods.
Gasperin will share insights from collaborations and discuss the applications of his technology for clinical research and policy, from understanding mood and impairment to shaping workplace and roadside safety assessments.
