You’re invited to a film viewing and brief conversation of the 2023 documentary “The Hills,” created by Chicago-based filmmaker Ines Sommer, an associate professor of instruction at Northwestern University. Set on the far Southeast Side of Chicago, this documentary explores the aftermath of a community living in the industrial legacy after the fall of the steel industry in the 1970s.

Stay after the film for a brief 30 minute post-screening conversation facilitated by Sam Corona, co-founder of Bridges Puentes and organizer with Alliance of the Southeast.
