Event Description:

Join us for 2022 3Arts/Bodies of Work Residency Fellow Genevieve Ramos in conversation with past 3Arts/BOW Fellows Reveca Torres and Mariam Paré. Ramos will share an optional art prompt for you to work on while she shares her in-progress portraiture project of disabled women of color that includes interview, photography, and paintings. Together, Ramos, Torres, and Paré will discuss the role of visual art in reclaiming the power of self-representation and narrative. They will also explore questions that have emerged out of Ramos’ project: “What is care as action? How do we work towards greater good as communities? How is art-activism a part of collective care work?”
