Over the past 10 years, principles of behavioral economics — using “nudges” to help people make better decisions — have been applied to a variety of fields to influence people’s behaviors. Behavioral Design (BD) is a design practice that incorporates these principles into new solutions so as to promote behavior change.

Join Professor Ruth Schmidt from the IIT Institute of Design for an introduction to Behavioral Design principles and frameworks. Her lecture will help audiences better understand how and why patients, clinicians, and other healthcare stakeholders do  — or don’t do — certain actions and help create interventions designed to promote positive action.
