Douglass Day is an annual program that marks the birth of 19th century civil rights leader Frederick Douglass. We will join others across the country and help create new and freely available resources for learning about Black history. Meet us at the Daley Library in the IDEA Commons, Classroom A. Drop in at any time and stay for as long as your schedule allows. Lunch will be provided. We hope you join us for this important work and to celebrate Black History Month.
Come and bring a friend! Register for the event.
This event is co-sponsored by UIC departments of Black studies, sociology and history and the University Library.
