Join the Women’s Leadership and Resource Center and Gender and Women’s Studies for a presentation by UIC art history graduate student Sarah M. Ahmed.

The mechanisms of border maintenance in the U.S. and Israel necessitate the erasure of information, the disappearance of individuals, and the displacement of populations. This lecture will explore how dispossessed and dissident artists have used found materials to create new relational possibilities that allow them to resist the mandates of border violence.
