Get Pharmacy-Wise with Pharmacy-Whys

Date / Time

October 9, 2019

5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

University of Illinois Extension 4-H program is partnering with the College of Pharmacy to provide a fun, hands-on workshop to youth ages 8-18 to help them learn about the pharmacy program and find out exactly what a pharmacy technician and pharmacist does.

This FREE workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 9th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.  Please enter the College of Pharmacy through the east doors by the silver pillars and meet at the front desk. The address is 1601 Parkview Avenue, Rockford.

We will begin with a short presentation by the pharmacy students and then go straight into activity stations for about an hour. This workshop will give youth a great idea of what the pharmacy world is all about and why they should consider becoming a pharmacy student in the future.

Youth must be at least 8 years old by September 1, 2019 in order to participate and MUST register before the October 7th deadline.  Enrollment in 4-H is not necessary. Registration is available online https://go.illinois.edu/pharmacy or by calling the Extension office at (815) 986- 4357. Space is limited, so please call early before the October 7th deadline.
