Join the Arab American Cultural Center and the Women’s Leadership and Resource Center’s Campus Advocacy Network for a conversation on difficult topics that impact our communities. Bring a craft that you are working on or borrow an idea from our Crafts to De-Stress.

Registration required to receive Zoom link!

Our session will be facilitated by Myasr Ihmoud, a program specialist at a local violence prevention and intervention agency on Chicago’s west side working at the intersection of community and interpersonal violence. She has also worked as a court advocate assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in filing for and obtaining orders of protection. In that role, Myasar primarily worked with Arab and Muslim immigrants providing services in both Arabic and English. She received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Governors State University in 2017 and is currently a law student at UIC John Marshall Law School. As a daughter of Palestinian immigrants, Myasar values strong community ties and a commitment to justice and anti-violence work here and abroad.
