HEALS: What Now? Relationships, Boundaries and Consent After Trauma

Date / Time

February 26, 2025

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Are you interested in building connections, healing and working toward justice with survivors at UIC?

The Campus Advocacy Network invites you to HEALS: Healing for Engagement, Action and Leadership by Survivors, a drop-in gathering space for UIC students who have experienced gender-based violence (domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, harassment, stalking and family abuse) and those who support them. Over lunch and crafts, we will check in, celebrate wins, troubleshoot challenges and discuss issues related to safety and healing.

Our topic for Wednesday, Feb. 26, is What Now? Relationships, Boundaries and Consent After Trauma. It is hard to navigate relationships at home, work, school and online after encountering violence. Join us to share stories, troubleshoot challenges and explore what healthy relationships and boundaries mean to you as a survivor.

UIC undergraduate, graduate and professional students are welcome. All sessions are hybrid, so you can join us in person or on Zoom. Lunch is provided for in-person participants.

We meet every other Wednesday; come when you can. Get more information and register.
