Humanities and Cultural Crawl

The Arab American Cultural Center, Gender and Sexuality Center, Disability Cultural Center and the Institute for the Humanities invite UIC faculty, staff and students to a Humanities and Cultural Crawl in the Behavioral Sciences Building.

Starting with the Arab American Cultural Center (B01), then moving through the Behavioral Sciences Building to the Institute for the Humanities (153), over to Gender and Sexuality Center (181-183) and ending at Disability Cultural Center (235), discover the public and community humanities research at work at each center and new partners to collaborate with on your initiatives, while eating some good noshes. If you collect a stamp from each center and institute during the crawl, your research will be enriched not only with new knowledge but also with a prize in your field!

COVID-19 safety: UIC does not require masking, but we are still masking indoors as an accessibility measure for chronically ill/immunocompromised folks and those living interdependently with them. When not eating, we are asking that you please wear a mask in our spaces! We’ll have extras on hand.

Accessibility Info: We will be moving from one center to another, and there will be access workers available to assist. All centers on the Crawl are physically accessible by elevator. The Arab American Cultural Center is located in the basement, the Gender and Sexuality Center and Institute for the Humanities are on the first floor, and the Disability Cultural Center is on the second floor.
