All Day

The Institute for the Humanities and UIC Jewish-Muslim Initiative will host a conference exploring the role of science in religion.

The conference brings to light important episodes in the history of science in the Jewish and Islamic worlds. Speakers will highlight the ways thinkers have sought to understand, and tried to navigate between, the different commitments of religion and science, both in the medieval period and in the modern world.
