Self-Guided Tree Walk

Let’s be thankful for the trees at UIC! We invite you to get outside and enjoy the beautiful fall colors via UIC’s newly completed Tree Inventory! Every five years, UIC completes a tree inventory which monitors the growth and health of all the trees on campus, and this information is now available online through Arborscope, a digital platform managed by Bartlett Tree Experts. Using your mobile device, you can enter UIC’s Arborscope page with this link go.uic.edu/trees and have access to the map for each of the four tree “tours” across campus. The four tours include a tree walk for East and for West campus, as well as an Oaktober walk featuring some of the beautiful oaks in bloom across campus and a Memorial tour of trees that are dedicated to a campus community member.

Even though this tree walk is completely self-guided, we are encouraging everyone to take the walk together on the eve of Thanksgiving (Wednesday, Nov. 24). Say “Hello!” to fellow tree-enthusiasts as you pass one another on the tree walk!
