Some instances of civilian deaths during law enforcement encounters shake the nation, but the truth is civilians are injured or killed in these situations every day. Despite this reality, comprehensive data on harm caused during police interactions is lacking in the U.S. On Oct. 7 at 12 p.m., join Lee Friedman, Ph.D., and Alfreda Holloway Beth, Ph.D. ’14, MS ’07, professors in the School of Public Health’s environmental and occupational health sciences department, to discuss how we build a system to track this data and better inform professionals who can influence outcomes.
