SPH Global Health Speaker Series: Fair Trade Public Health

Join us for the UIC School of Public Health Global Health Program for our monthly speaker series. The speaker for October will be Sujay A. J. Mehta, DMD, MPH, director of global education at Solidarity Dental Foundation and incoming chair of the American Public Health Association Oral Health Section.

Mehta will reframe what “counts as care” and challenges associations with oral health and how interests cross emergency preparedness, human papilomavirus, AI and health informatics, OneHealth and oral health as reverse mentoring. Audience members will see how blended finance, implementation science and reverse mentoring open real pathways for practicums, publications and responsibly designed field experiences. All UIC students, faculty, staff and the public are welcome to attend.
