Presented by the UIC Latino Cultural Center, the Latin American and Latino Studies Program, and Alianza Americas

Join us for a conversation with young leaders from Otros Dreams en Acción and Soy Vida who will highlight stories of youth engagement, and raise awareness of the impact of deportation and violence in Latin America.

  • Otros Dreams en Acción (ODA) is a community of deportees and returnees who grew up in the US but are now exiled in Mexico.
  • Soy Vida is a campaign to destigmatize youth from communities identified as high-risk areas and youth who come from rural areas in El Salvador.
