Professor of Health Policy and Administration and Government and Public Affairs
Anthony LoSasso is professor of health policy and administration and of government and public affairs at UIC. He is interested in how government policies affect private sector decisions. His current research explores the nascent consumer-directed health care movement and its potential impact on employer-sponsored health insurance and employee health.
LoSasso’s research has appeared in many leading academic journals, including Health Affairs, The Journal of Health Economics, Health Services Research, and The Journal of Risk and Insurance. He also serves on the editorial boards of Medical Care Research and Review, Health Services Research, and The Journal of Community Health.
Before coming to UIC, LoSasso was a research associate professor at Northwestern University and served as executive director of the American Society of Health Economists. At UIC he serves as director of doctoral studies in health policy and administration.
