Biography
Zongmin Zhao’s research advances how we diagnose and treat diseases like cancer. His method uses nanotechnology and the body’s own cells to deliver drugs directly into the tumor microenvironment.
Recently, Zhao’s lab developed a method to treat multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases by delivering anti-inflammatory drugs to the central nervous system.
Zhao is affiliated with the University of Illinois Cancer Center.
