The men’s basketball team will get ready for the fall season with a road trip to Canada next week.

The Flames will compete against Canadian university teams from Aug. 12 to 19, beginning their travels in Ottawa and finishing in Toronto.

“We are very excited to have this opportunity for our program,” said head coach Howard Moore. “I have known several teams that come back from summer trips with a much stronger bond as teammates.”

The competition schedule includes:

  • Ottawa, 8 p.m. Aug. 13
  • Carleton, 7 p.m. Aug. 14
  • Toronto, 2 p.m. Aug. 16
  • York, 2 p.m. Aug. 17
  • Brock, 7 p.m. Aug. 18

“We are going to play some top-level competition so these five games will be a great indicator of what we have to work on before the season begins,” Moore said. “I am also excited for our players to experience a different culture and embrace the educational components surrounding this trip. ”
