Race Determines Proper Dose of Common Antibiotic for Pregnant WomenRace is a key factor in properly dosing the antibiotic azithromycin in pregnant women, according to new research at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The drug is commonly used to treat bacterial infections, such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sexually transmitted diseases, and infections of the ears, skin and throat.
