Trailer: Season 2

On Sept. 8, the University of Illinois Chicago will kick off its second season of “This is UIC,” the official podcast of the University of Illinois Chicago.

With each episode, “This is UIC” makes known the voices shaping tomorrow. New episodes will drop biweekly on Tuesdays. Listeners will hear from members of the UIC community as they share the stories behind their work, their research and their impact.

This season, some of today’s most pressing topics will be unpacked: trauma and collective healing on the 25th anniversary of 9/11; 250 years of democracy and the ideals shaping society in the U.S.; and the growing toll of AI data centers on freshwater.
