Police seek suspect in armed robbery
A student was the victim of an armed robbery at 3:15 a.m. Thursday near James Stukel Towers.

The student was chased by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded the student’s possessions.

The student gave the suspect a cell phone, which the man dropped while fleeing. The phone was recovered and the student was not injured.

The suspect was a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-8-inches tall, between 130 and 150 pounds. He was wearing a winter cap, khaki button-down shirt and jeans, and carried a black semiautomatic handgun.

Nov. 3: A man was arrested for criminal trespass at 1:07 p.m. in Student Center East.

A woman was arrested for theft at 12:10 a.m. at 1350 S. Halsted St.
