Police search for suspects in aggravated assault

A UIC student employee and a friend were victims of an aggravated assault Sunday by two women at 1243 S. Morgan St.

They told police they were walking south when a black minivan pulled up and the passenger displayed a black handgun with a laser sight. The pair fled to a nearby field and the vehicle drove west on Roosevelt Road. The passenger was described as a white or Hispanic woman, 27 to 35 years old, wearing a beige tank top. The driver was a white or Hispanic woman, 27 to 35.
