Police search for suspects in armed robbery

UIC Police received a report of an armed robbery at 4:45 a.m. Monday that occurred near West Harrison Street and South Racine Avenue.

A female victim, who is not affiliated with UIC, was walking when she was approached by a man who pointed a gun at her and demanded her property. The victim complied and was not injured. The offender, who was described as a tall, slender black male, wearing a black hoodie, with dreadlock-style hair, got into the passenger side of a nearby vehicle.

The make and model of the vehicle are unknown and there is no description of the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chicago Police Department at 311. The Chicago Police Department will lead the investigation.

Nov. 7: A man was arrested for endangering the life or health of a child at 12:43 a.m. at 818 W. Maxwell St.

Nov. 8: A man was arrested for criminal trespass at 7:55 a.m. in the hospital.

A man was arrested for burglary, motor vehicle theft and an outstanding warrant at 11:20 a.m. at 921 S. Marshfield Ave.

Nov 12: A man was arrested for DUI at 2:11 a.m. at 737 S. Halsted St.

Nov. 13: A man was arrested for DUI at 2:32 a.m. at 301 W. Roosevelt Road.
