Jesica Lopez-Huskey

Jesica Lopez-Huskey, Public Safety Information Officer

Jesica Lopez-Huskey is public safety information officer for the UIC Police Department in a joint role with Strategic Marketing and Communications (University Communications team). Her responsibilities include informing, educating and empowering the campus community to enhance personal safety. She leads development of safety-related messaging, digital content, storytelling, and media relations to support the UIC Police Department.

Before joining UIC, Jesica held roles in public safety communications and the entertainment industry. She has experience in animation, live-action and video game production. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Claremont McKenna College.

Fun fact: Jesica interned on Capitol Hill and appeared in a commercial with Jerry Seinfeld for DreamWorks’ “Bee Movie.”
