Junior setter MaryKate Imrie received an honorable mention on the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Midwest Region team.

“MaryKate is more than deserving of this award,” head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley said. “She worked hard all season, and created great options for her attackers. I am happy for her and all of her accomplishments this season.”

Imrie led the Flames to a 10-4 conference record, securing the No. 2 seed in the Horizon League Championship. The Flames defeated Valparaiso, 3-2, in the semifinal round of the tournament to advance to the championship match. UIC faced top-seeded Cleveland State in the winner-takes-all match, and despite being swept by the Vikings twice during the regular season, the Flames fought hard, dropping 3-1 in the contest.

Imrie led the Horizon League with 1,377 assists. She led the conference in double-double performances with 19.
