Woman killed in fall from campus building

A 21-year-old woman died Friday morning after an accidental fall from the exterior of the Behavioral Sciences Building.

UIC Police said the woman, who was not a UIC student, was among a group of students and others on the roof of BSB about 4 a.m. She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she died about 5:30 a.m.

UIC professional staff are providing support and counseling to students who were with the woman at the time of the accident. Assistance is available from the Counseling Center, Campus Advocacy Network and Dean of Students Office.
