Dear UIC Community,

This morning at approximately 10:30 a.m., a network connectivity problem in the core IT infrastructure caused an outage that impacted university services, including authentication to many university systems such as Blackboard and UIC-WiFi, as well as access to many UIC unit websites.

Technology Solutions worked to investigate the problem as quickly as possible. Access to most services and websites was restored by noon, with connections to UIC-WiFi recovering over the following hour.

As a reminder, to be kept updated during IT service outages, please subscribe to the IT Outage listserv by sending an email to listserv@uic.edu with the subject line "Subscribe" and include in the body, "SUBSCRIBE ACCC-OUTAGE."

Technology Solutions is also actively working to improve service status notifications and we will have more to share on this in the coming months.
