8,000 new friends drop by UIC Open House

Despite an early morning drizzle, over 8,000 prospective students, families, alumni and neighbors came to campus Saturday for UIC Open House.

“We were excellent hosts,” said Oscar Rodriguez, director of recruitment and outreach in the Office of Admissions.

Events presented by colleges, student services and organizations included lectures, tours, demonstrations and performances.

“We are looking forward to another successful Open House next year,” Rodriguez said.
