Success in, out of the gym

The men’s gymnastics team earned a National Academic Team honorable mention and four players received academic honors from the College Gymnastics Association.

Lukasz Adamczyk, Keith Lage, Daniel Hutton and Aaron Eyster were selected as first team All-American Scholar-Athletes and Dan Zerbel earned second team accolades.

Adamczyk, a junior in biochemistry, led the Flames with a spot in the 3.80-3.899 GPA bracket.

Lage, a senior in civil engineering, and Hutton, a senior in business, earned GPAs between 3.60-3.699.

Zerbel, a senior in LAS, posted a 3.50-3.599 GPA.

Adamczyk, Hutton, Eyster and Zerbel all earned NCAA Regional berths; Zerbel and Adamczyk advanced to the second round of competition. Zerbel also competed in the Visa National Championship.
