Biography
Dr. H. Steven Sims is the director of the Chicago Institute for Voice Care at UI Health.
Sims is a board certified otolaryngologist who has treated hundreds of local and national entertainers with voice disorders or injuries, including members of Chicago’s Lyric Opera, the casts from “Wicked,” “Jersey Boys,” “Book of Mormon” and “Dreamgirls.”
Sims can speak on vocal fatigue, reflux disease, paralyzed vocal folds, chronic hoarseness and other medical and physical issues that impact a person’s ability to use their voice.
