Biography
Robert Chirinko’s research delves into a variety of economic and finance topics, studying business behavior and informing policy discussions. His work examines how financial markets channel funds to businesses; the factors that drive firms to accumulate machinery and other types of capital; the mechanisms that lead to good corporate governance; how firms respond to the Fed’s interest rate policies and state and federal tax policies; and whether public banks enhance economic welfare.
He also has been a visiting scholar at 10 central banks.
