Athletes help clean up community

Seventy-five student-athletes, coaches and staff joined forces with the University Commons Neighborhood Association Oct. 1 to help the clean-up effort on the streets surrounding University Village.

Members of men’s and women’s swimming & diving, gymnastics and track & field braved the rain as they picked up trash and assisted in landscaping along Halsted Street, Morgan Street, Racine Avenue, Blue Island Avenue and 16th Street.
