The Arab American Cultural Center is excited to officially kick off Spring 2019 with an impressive lineup of events. This semester our center will be focusing on the diverse needs of the student body, which will encompass events and discussions emphasizing the issues that are prevalent in today’s society – such as our annual Arab film festival, mental health discussion, as well as the highly anticipated Arab American graduation happening this April. These events will bridge our dialogues by dissecting and examining the intersectionality of racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, xenophobia, and anti-blackness/ brown discourse. Although the center represents the diasporic elements of Arab, Arab-American, and Muslim identities, we are outreaching to all students to create a collaborative and shared space where we can all discuss the everyday struggles and realities of life, in an open and safe environment. We hope you can join us and spread our message/ events to your networks and organizations.

We are hosting the following upcoming events:

Wednesday, Jan 30th from 9:30-10:30 am in the Libary Room LIB I-470 –
Arab Americans in Chicago: Histories, Struggles, and Futures.
