The Flames will play the No. 5-seeded Oakland Grizzlies in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fairborn, Ohio.

UIC wrapped up the conference season with a 15-12 mark (24-28 overall) and the No. 4 seed in the Horizon League.

UIC has a 10-5 advantage in head-to-head competition since the Grizzlies joined the league in 2014. The Flames won the season series against Oakland for the third straight season, taking two of three games in Chicago. The series at Oakland was canceled due to weather.

The winner of the Oakland-UIC game will advance to the double-elimination round and face either No. 1 seed Wright State or No. 2 seed Milwaukee Thursday. All games will be televised on ESPN3
