Basketball coach throws first pitch at Wrigley Field

UIC head men’s basketball coach Steve McClain visited the friendly confines of Wrigley Field Friday to throw out the first pitch and sing “Take Me Out To the Ball Game” as the Chicago Cubs battled the Pittsburgh Pirates.

McClain met several Cubs players, manager Joe Maddon and other team executives. He joined Pat Hughes and Ron Coomer on WBBM 780 AM during the sixth inning.

The Cubs claimed an 11-10 victory against the Pirates in the 12th inning that day.
