Basketball season opens with free Flames Friday Tailgate

Fire up the basketball season with the first Flames Friday Tailgate, starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the parking lot across from the UIC Pavilion.

The tailgate, free for the UIC community, includes food and beverages, a beer garden, games, entertainment and giveaways.

UIC women’s basketball opens its regular season at noon Friday against Howard at the Pavilion.

Men’s basketball begins its regular season at 7 p.m. against San Francisco. UIC students get a free UIC Pyromaniacs shirt at the game.

Students are free to the games with valid i-card. Women’s basketball tickets are $8 general admission. Discount tickets to the men’s game are available for $10 with the offer code staff15 at ticketmaster.com
