The Ebola virus has take thousands of lives in West Africa and continues to be an international public health concern. At this time there are no cases of Ebola in Illinois.

UIC has created a web page to bring the latest news and information about the Ebola virus to the campus community.

Ebola news and information” includes articles about the outbreak; a Q & A with Dr. Susan Bleasdale, UI Health medical director of infection control; UIC experts in different fields, including research, emergency preparedness, medicine and public health; and facts about the disease and how it is transmitted.

There’s useful information about the Ebola virus, how it spreads and what members of the campus community are doing to educate the public and assist with efforts to stop this deadly disease.
