Colder weather worries

christmas suit-blog

I like the holidays. On Thanksgiving, I like eating everything I possibly can until I have to lay down on the floor and take a nap. On Christmas, I LOVE presents!! I love giving presents and I love GETTING presents (who doesn’t?!). The problem with these two holidays is that it’s cold outside. I don’t like cold weather. I don’t even like being cold. It makes my skin dry, it makes my throat dry, and I just want to curl up in a little ball with a million blankets. But whether I like it or not, it’s coming. Heck, it’s already here. Blah.

With cold weather comes cold and flu season. Last year was the first year in a long time that I got my flu shot. And I can’t even really remember what I did yesterday, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t get the flu last year. So, I went to Walgreens and got it again this year. The anticipation of getting a shot always makes it seem to be more painful than it actually ends up being.

While student teaching (which is unpaid) and watching my funds dip preeeettyy low, I started panicking about Christmas and how I was going to pay my bills and still be able to buy presents. But all I needed to do was talk to my mom. She’s always good at coming up with ideas. So, I feel better about that. I love to paint and I’m pretty good at it. Maybe everyone will get artwork this year. J I still have a good month and a half to figure it out and get it all done.

So, as I shiver under a blanket while writing this, I wish I had a Snuggie so my arms didn’t have to stick out.

Cold weather. Blah.
