Learning Objectives

    • Describe physical therapy differential diagnosis of orofacial pain, particularly TMD.
    • Explore the collaborative relationship between dentists and physical therapists in managing patients with TMD.
    • To understand the principles and indications of hypoglossal nerve stimulation for treatment of OSA.
    • To recognize when oral appliance therapy is an appropriate alternative to hypoglossal nerve stimulation.
